Terms of Service
Effective date: February 8, 2026 (Document version: 2026-02-08). These Terms are between you and Jakd LLC, operating Copa from Chandler, Arizona, United States ("Copa," "we," "us," "our"). By using Copa, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities
- You must be legally able to enter into these Terms.
- You agree to provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including invited household members and connected caregivers.
2. Service Description
Copa provides baby-care logging, household coordination, reminders, and optional AI-assisted insights and image features designed to support caregivers.
3. Important Health and Safety Disclaimer
- The app and Copa outputs are informational tools only and do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional clinical advice.
- Do not delay or avoid professional care based on app content. If you believe there is an emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
- You are solely responsible for health decisions and for verifying information before acting on it.
4. AI Features and Consent
- Certain AI features require explicit in-app consent before processing messages or uploaded photos.
- By enabling AI features, you authorize processing by Copa and our AI service providers for the purpose of generating requested outputs.
- AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. You must review outputs and use independent judgment.
5. Acceptable Use
- No unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.
- No attempts to reverse engineer or bypass platform security controls.
- No upload of content you do not have rights to use, including unauthorized third-party images or personal data.
- No interference with service integrity, availability, or other users.
6. User Content and Permissions
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Copa a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service in line with the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
Copa branding, software, and related materials are owned by Jakd LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
8. Third-Party Services
Copa relies on third-party infrastructure and AI providers. Their availability may affect service performance. We are not responsible for outages or policy changes of third-party providers beyond our reasonable control.
9. Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination
- We may modify features to improve safety, compliance, and reliability.
- We may suspend or terminate access for material Terms violations, fraud, or security risk.
- You may stop using the service at any time and can request or perform in-app account deletion.
10. Disclaimers of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Copa is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Copa and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of the service.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Copa and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the service, content, or violation of these Terms.
13. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law principles. Except where prohibited by law, disputes will be resolved exclusively in state courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, or federal courts in the District of Arizona, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
